Webmaster's note. This is such a great story. I am so proud to have been part of it. My only wish would be that Frank Kather and Bob Schooley were here to see it.

Dan,

One of the photos on your site provided an answer to a question I had for many years. Since the early ‘90s I had considered a tattoo, but nothing seemed to have enough significance for me to have it permanently put on my arm. As I’m sure you are aware, my dad died in October 2006. I knew then that the tattoo must have something to do with him. He was always called “Honker” as long as I can remember. The photo on pages http://www.atroop4thcav.com/4th_cavalry_026.htm and http://www.atroop4thcav.com/4th_cavalry_027.htm inspired the tattoo that I finally got. You may choose to post the attached photo to your website if you like. Thanks for having the website as it serves more purposes than you know.

Warm regards,

Mark Kather
